Philosophy of care

Good orthopaedic care begins with listening. Angus takes time to understand how pain or loss of function affects each patient’s work, family life, independence and activities.

He believes patients should receive an honest explanation of their diagnosis, the likely benefits and limitations of treatment, and the alternatives to surgery. Decisions are made together, with surgery recommended only when it is the right option for the individual.

Listening first

Understanding the person, their symptoms and what they want to return to.

Clear decisions

Explaining options in plain language so patients can make informed choices.

Leading-edge care

Using modern techniques, robotic and computer-assisted technology where these add value.

Recovery focused

Coordinating surgery and rehabilitation to support earlier movement and durable outcomes.
