Funding your surgery

ACC

For an injury covered by ACC, Angus usually needs to submit an Assessment Report and Treatment Plan (ARTP) requesting approval for surgery. Approval may take from around ten days to several months, depending on the injury and whether ACC requests further information. The practice will contact you once approval is received.

Private health insurance

If the condition is not covered by ACC, the practice can provide an estimate for your insurer. Your insurer may also request referral letters or clinical documentation before confirming prior approval.

Self-funding

If you do not have insurance and ACC does not apply, you may choose to fund surgery yourself. Contact the practice for an estimate and available dates.
