Medical and anaesthetic review
Some patients need blood tests, an ECG or further assessment before surgery. If you have significant heart, lung or other medical conditions, review by an anaesthetist, physician or relevant specialist may be arranged to ensure surgery is as safe as possible.
Bring an up-to-date medication list and follow specific instructions about medicines such as blood thinners, diabetes treatments and anti-inflammatory medication. Do not stop prescribed medication unless instructed.
