Before discharge, you will usually receive:

• A prescription or supply of pain relief and other required medication
• Instructions for wound and dressing care
• Movement, weight-bearing and brace or sling instructions
• Early exercises or a rehabilitation protocol
• Details of physiotherapy where required
• Information about your first follow-up appointment
