Constipation
Reduced activity and pain medication can cause constipation. Drink adequate fluids, eat fibre-rich food and use medication if advised.
Dental and other infections
Tell health and dental professionals that you have a hip replacement. Seek medical advice promptly for significant skin, chest, urinary or dental infection.
Sexual activity
This may resume when comfortable and the wound is healing well. Follow any movement precautions provided for your surgical approach.
